Job summary

St. Augustine Catholic High School in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Part-time Gym Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the gymnasium and athletic spaces. Under the direction of the School President and Facilities leadership, you will uphold Catholic values while performing daily cleaning, safety checks, and setup for events.

The role requires punctuality, independence, attention to detail, and the ability to work early mornings. Previous custodial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, janitorial, athletic facility, or similar experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in work.
• Ability to work independently and complete recurring responsibilities without constant supervision.
• Ability to work early morning hours consistently.
• Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in a heavily used athletic facility.
• Professional and respectful communication.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Safety conscious and able to properly use custodial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the gymnasium and athletic facility to established cleanliness standards.
• Clean and maintain the gymnasium floor/court and bleachers.
• Clean and maintain locker rooms, weight room, lobby and restrooms, MPR and snack bar areas.
• Empty trash and handle waste disposal; restock supplies.
• Inspect for cleanliness, safety, and readiness; report issues.
• Assist with setup for athletic events and post-event cleanup.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and custodial supplies; ensure security of facilities.
