Job summary

The Staff Pad invites an Associate Dentist to join a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center in Pomona, CA for Saturdays. You will deliver preventive, restorative and emergency care to pediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced FQHC setting, with opportunities for weekday coverage.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree from an ADA-accredited dental school.
  • Current, valid California Dental License.
  • Current DEA registration and CPR certification (BCLS/ACLS)
  • 2+ years of clinical dental practice experience.
  • Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Dental Records (EDR/EHR).
  • Strong clinical, communication, leadership, and patient service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine and emergency dental services including diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Perform restorative procedures, crowns/bridges, removable prosthetics, and endodontics.
  • Interpret diagnostic x-rays and laboratory studies.
  • Administer anesthetics and medications; create treatment regimens.
  • Refer patients to specialty providers as indicated.
  • Educate patients on oral health and prevention.
  • Supervise Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists; coordinate clinic activities.
  • Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and dental providers in an integrated setting.
  • Support clinic quality, productivity, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
  • Participate in staff training and safety/compliance programs.

What You'll Do

As an Associate Dentist, you will provide comprehensive preventive, restorative, and emergency dental care to both pediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment. You will play a key role in improving oral health outcomes while supporting patient education, team development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and emergency dental services, including diagnosis, treatment planning, oral examinations, restorative procedures, crown and bridge work, removable prosthetics, uncomplicated endodontics, and minor oral surgery
  • Initiate and interpret diagnostic x-rays and laboratory studies
  • Administer and prescribe anesthetics, medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate
  • Refer patients to specialty providers and other care services when indicated
  • Educate patients and families on oral health, disease prevention, and treatment options
  • Direct, coordinate, and supervise the clinical activities of Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists
  • Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and dental providers in an integrated care setting
  • Support clinic quality, productivity, and patient satisfaction initiatives
  • Participate in staff training, community health promotion, and safety/compliance programs
  • Partner with the Chief Dental Officer to support clinic productivity, scheduling, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, local, and organizational regulations, policies, and safety standards
  • Adapt quickly to clinic workflows and EDR systems & maintain an efficient patient schedule
  • Meet quality and productivity benchmarks & deliver exceptional patient experiences
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
