Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree from an ADA-accredited dental school.
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted California Dental License.
  • Current DEA registration and CPR certification (BCLS/ACLS).
  • 2+ years of clinical dental practice experience.
  • Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Dental Records (EDR/EHR).
  • Strong clinical, communication, leadership, and patient service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine and emergency dental services, including diagnosis, treatment planning, examinations, and restorative procedures.
  • Initiate and interpret diagnostic x-rays and laboratory studies.
  • Administer and prescribe anesthetics, medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate.
  • Refer patients to specialty providers and other care services when indicated.
  • Educate patients and families on oral health, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Direct, coordinate, and supervise the clinical activities of Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists.
  • Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and dental providers in an integrated care setting.

What You'll Do

As an Associate Dentist, you will provide comprehensive preventive, restorative, and emergency dental care to bothpediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced Federally Qualified Health Center(FQHC) environment. You will play a key role in improving oral health outcomeswhile supporting patient education, team development, and continuous qualityimprovement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provideroutine and emergency dental services, including diagnosis, treatmentplanning, oral examinations, restorative procedures, crown and bridgework, removable prosthetics, uncomplicated endodontics, and minor oralsurgery
  • Initiateand interpret diagnostic x-rays and laboratory studies
  • Administerand prescribe anesthetics, medications, and treatment regimens asappropriate
  • Referpatients to specialty providers and other care services when indicated
  • Educatepatients and families on oral health, disease prevention, and treatmentoptions
  • Direct,coordinate, and supervise the clinical activities of Dental Assistants andDental Hygienists
  • Collaboratewith medical, behavioral health, and dental providers in an integratedcare setting
  • Supportclinic quality, productivity, and patient satisfaction initiatives
  • Participatein staff training, community health promotion, and safety/complianceprograms
  • Partnerwith the Chief Dental Officer to support clinic productivity, scheduling,quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintaincompliance with all federal, state, local, and organizational regulations,policies, and safety standards
  • Adaptquickly to clinic workflows and EDR systems & maintain an efficientpatient schedule
  • Meetquality and productivity benchmarks & deliver exceptional patientexperiences
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
