Part-Time Associate

The Part-Time Associate is the key to our success!

Stores count on Part-Time Associates to provide excellent customer service, keep the shelves fully stocked with good, fresh food, and create an all-around great shopping experience for our customers.

What You'll Do

1. Maintain a store section as assigned, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise using proper equipment; assure proper pricing on merchandise; check product date codes for proper rotation; stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases; prepare perishable products for sale if required.
2. Set up advertising and promotional displays. Review invoices and bills for accuracy.
3. Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot as directed by store management.
4. Operate a cash register, receive payment from customers, and make change or process check/charge/debit transactions. Handle cash and credit refunds when approved by management.
5. Verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
6. Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers by providing current store and product information.
7. Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles upon request.
8. Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.

What You'll Bring

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and short correspondence or memos.
• Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group situations with customers, clients, and employees.

• Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.
