The Opportunity

The Part-Time Associate is the key to our success! Stores rely on Part-Time Associates to provide excellent customer service, keep shelves stocked with fresh food, and create a great shopping experience for our customers.

What You'll Do

1. Maintain assigned store sections, order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment, ensure correct pricing, check product date codes for proper rotation, stock shelves, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases. May prepare perishable products for sale.
2. Set up advertising/promotional displays and review invoices/bills for accuracy.
3. Maintain sanitation standards inside and outside the store and parking lot as directed by management.
4. Operate a cash register, handle payments, and process refunds with approval.
5. Verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
6. Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous assistance to customers with current store and product information.
7. Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles if requested.
8. Perform basic bookkeeping duties, record lost/damaged goods, and store supplies.

What You'll Bring

1. Ability to read and write English, interact effectively with the public and co-workers.
2. Ability to understand simple instructions, labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
3. Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.
4. Apply common sense to follow detailed instructions.
5. Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.
