Westminster Communities of Bradenton is seeking licensed practical nurses (LPNs) to support our Assisted Living residents.

Part-time, 8-hour shifts available (7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a). Must be Florida-licensed and CPR certified; prior long-term care experience preferred. Responsibilities include medication administration, resident assessments, and supervising CNAs.

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed in Florida as an LPN.
• CPR Certification required.
• One year of long-term care desirable; Med-Surg or Home Health helpful.
• Experience with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist with evaluation of residents' needs.
• Assist with planning resident care based on MD orders.
• Implement care per MD orders and communicate updates to MD.
• Ensure residents receive medications per MD order.
• Monitor glucose, temperature and blood pressure.
• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfers).
• Ensure CNAs follow MD orders.

We are currently searching for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work with our Assisted Living residents. In this role, LPNs will provide direct nursing care to the residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with state and federal standards that govern our facility.

Schedule

Part-time positions available, 8 hour shifts. Open schedules on all shifts, 7a-3p/3p-11p/11p-7a

Essential Functions

• Assist with the evaluation of residents needs.
• Assist with planning resident care based on MD orders.
• Implement resident care based on MD orders. Evaluate care and communicate with MD for updates of orders (PRN).
• Ensure that residents receive their medicine at the prescribed time by the MD order.
• Monitor blood glucose, temperature and blood pressure.
• Assist residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs.
• Ensure that CNAs are following MD Orders.

Education and Experience

Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Practical Nurse

Must be CPR Certified

One year of long term care desirable. Med-Surg, Home Health experience helpful. Also experience working with the handicapped or developmentally disabled adults.
