Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher for a part-time shift (2:00pm-6:00pm) in Conway, Arkansas. You will support the Lead Teacher to deliver age-appropriate activities, maintain a safe, organized classroom, and engage with children during daily routines.

The role emphasizes observation, communication with families, and accurate daily reports, while meeting licensing ratios and safety standards. Prior ECE coursework or experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required as a baseline credential.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with families.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
