Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities. You will help maintain a safe, organized classroom and interact with children during meals, activities, and outdoor time.

You will observe child development, relay notes to the Lead Teacher, and build strong relationships with families through daily communication. A commitment to safety and positive learning is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with families.
• High school diploma or GED is required; coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
• Candidate must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
