Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the classroom alongside the Master Teacher. You will help deliver hands-on, age-appropriate activities and foster a warm, safe learning environment for young children.

Responsibilities include assisting with lessons, maintaining classroom safety and cleanliness, engaging with children during daily routines, and communicating with families. Degree not required; character and training potential emphasized.

Your role

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Master Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

What your day looks like:

• Support the Master Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports

Pay and benefits

Pay: $11.00-$14-00 per hour, based on experience and education.
