Job summary

Dollar Tree in Palatine, IL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the team. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help organize merchandise, and ensure store standards.

You will participate in opening and closing procedures, support loss prevention, train associates, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Participate in loss prevention and cash handling tasks.
• Train and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and presentable stockroom.
