Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Marion, NC location to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and help ensure the store runs smoothly.

The role requires strong communication, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a positive, team-oriented approach. This is a part-time position with opportunities to learn and advance within a welcoming retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or equivalent environment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures, displays, and overall store presentation.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, and payroll/scheduling records.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and adhere to safety policies.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, and public areas; ensure neat and presentable spaces.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
