Job summary

Dollar Tree in Centerville, IA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service excellence, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, staffing, and ensuring efficient openings and closings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks described in duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain compliance with store policies and procedures.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays and promotional effectiveness.
