Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our West Helena, Arkansas location.

The role involves assisting with day-to-day store activities, merchandising, and staff training, while ensuring a clean, safe, and inviting shopping environment for customers. You will help manage daily tasks, coordinate with the Store Manager, and drive promotional displays and inventory controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred or required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, keep records, and manage cash handling tasks.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling/cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Ensure a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Support the Store Manager in training and developing store associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment and professional customer interactions.
