Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Sarasota, FL location. Responsibilities include assisting with daily store activities, merchandising, opening/closing procedures, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

The role emphasizes strong communication, people skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain store cleanliness and ensure areas are neat and presentable.
