Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher in Carroll, IA to support early childhood education in a preschool setting. The role offers after-school and morning extension hours, with a total of 15 hours per week from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Additional hours may be available from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM for up to 25 hours weekly. You will assist with activities, communicate with families about milestones, and maintain a safe classroom following Bright Horizons policies.

Qualifications

• Candidate must pass required state and company background checks.
• 1 year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
