Job summary

Bright Horizons in Carroll, IA is seeking an Assistant Teacher for part-time hours, with after-school shifts from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and optional morning hours from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM, totaling up to 25 hours per week. You will assist with hands-on activities for children, maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones, and ensure a safe, clean classroom by following established procedures.

HS diploma or GED is required; CDA/AA/BA in early education is preferred.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor's degree in early education or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Part-time position are available with School age children.

Hours needed are M-F 3:00PM to 6:00PM (15 hours per week).

Additional hours available working M-F 6:30AM-8:30AM (Total of 25 hr/wk) if desired.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, or hold children with a range of weight from 10 to 40 pounds; occasionally lift, carry, or hold weight more than 40 pounds

Compensation

The hourly rate is between $12.50-$15.50. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
