At Hot Topic, we’re passionate about music, pop culture, and creating an amazing in-store experience for our customers and employees.

We’re seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2 to lead our store. You’ll support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, recruiting, and developing a passionate team. Be ready to handle anything that comes your way while driving sales and building customer relationships.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Support your Store Manager in achieving sales goals and targets.
  • Help recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, passionate team.
  • Create buzz and customer engagement through product promotion, social media, and services like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
  • Provide leadership to ensure operational excellence, balancing operations, delegation, and customer service.
  • Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll, and associate schedules.
  • Communicate with retail leadership and HQ about trends and customer feedback.
  • Analyze sales reports and use data to guide strategies.
  • Merchandise the store effectively and launch promotions on time.
  • Develop your team of loyal, high-performing, customer-focused associates in partnership with your Store Manager.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 1-2 years of retail store management experience, especially if you love music and pop culture.
  • Experience leading successful teams with skills in communication, recruiting, operations, and team development.
  • Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operations.
  • A high school diploma or GED; a degree is a plus.
  • Adaptability to a fast-changing retail environment.
  • Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.
