Hot Topic in El Paso is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2 to help lead the mall’s loudest store. You’ll support the Store Manager in achieving store objectives, hitting sales targets, recruiting, and development.

You’ll foster a team, promote new products, manage operations like payroll, scheduling, and merchandising, and ensure a customer-first experience while driving engagement and curbside pickup.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail store management experience.
• Experience leading teams with strong communication, recruiting, operations, and talent development.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and a drive to develop associates.
• High school diploma or GED; a degree is an advantage.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing retail environment and handle challenges.
• Physical ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift packages up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, passionate team to run the store alongside you.
• Act as the store’s #1 fan – create buzz and customer engagement through promotion of new products, social media, and additional benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Provide leadership around running an operationally sound business; balance ops, delegation/autonomy, and customer‑first selling practices.
• Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules.
• Collaboratively communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy to hit sales targets.
• Merchandise the store in a compelling way, following planograms and launching promotions on time.
• Develop a high‑performing, customer‑focused team in partnership with the Store Manager.
