We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales goals.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages repeat visits through your product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Step in and support when needed, covering sales floor duties and assisting the management team.
- Open and close the store as required, managing store keys responsibly.
- Operate the register, process transactions, and promote sales using your fandom expertise and store benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Also, handle register closeouts and communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising strategies.
- Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
- Help maintain organized stockrooms and a tidy store environment.
- Contribute to building a collaborative and passionate team to run the store effectively.
- Perform any other duties assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, operations, and team development.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products with store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
