We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, ensuring fans find the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits, support daily operations, and help meet sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through your product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Assist in store operations and step in to support the team when needed, including covering the sales floor and leadership roles.
• Open and close the store as required, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Operate the register, process transactions, and use your fandom expertise to promote add-on sales and benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Understand sales plans, goals, and key KPIs like UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising strategies.
• Communicate fashion and music trends to management and HQ partners.
• Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Maintain the stockroom and keep the store organized and tidy.
• Contribute to developing a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively.
• Perform any other duties assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience; a love for music and pop culture is a plus!
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay range: $17 - $19.55 per hour. Final salary depends on education, experience, location, and other factors.
