We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent service.
- Support store operations by stepping in when needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting the management team.
- Assist with opening and closing the store, ensuring all procedures are followed.
- Operate the register, process sales, and use your fandom expertise to promote add-on sales, including BOPIS and curbside pickup. Also, handle register closeouts and communicate any shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales goals, KPIs such as UPT and ADT, and contribute to achieving them.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Communicate fashion and music trend insights to management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
- Support store maintenance by organizing the stock room and keeping the store tidy.
- Contribute to developing and maintaining a passionate, collaborative team environment.
- Perform any other duties assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operational tasks, with a drive to develop your team.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
