Job summary

Northfield Schools is seeking an Assistant Girls Lacrosse Coach for a part-time role starting 4/5/2027. Location is at the High School with 2-3 hours per day, 5-6 days a week.

The stipend is $4,614 plus additional pay for years of experience where applicable. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach with player selection, instruction, training, and conditioning; ensuring student-athlete health and safety; and upholding ethics and school policies.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching or competing at high school or college level.
• Candidate must pass a criminal background check.
• Head Coaches must have or be able to obtain a Head Coaching License or appropriate certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in selection, instruction, training, and conditioning of all athletes/teams.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of team members.
• Uphold the Coaches' Code of Ethics and implement policies from Coaches' Handbook and conference rules.

Accountable to: Head Coach, Activities Director and Principal.

Primary Objective: To assist the head coach in selection, instruction, training, and conditioning of all athletes/teams assigned to him/her by the head coach. Northfield Schools, the Principal and Athletics/Activities Director places an expectation not only on the skills, abilities and commitments of its coaches, but also on their integrity and collective common sense in performing their duties.

• To demonstrate and generate among your staff players an attitude of good sportsmanship and fair play by adhering to the Coach's Code of Ethics.
• To know and administer the policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth in the Coaches' Handbook, Conference, and policies for your sport and supervise assistant coaches in carrying out the same as they apply to your assignment.
• To carry out responsibilities as designated by the head coach.
• To provide for the health, safety, and well-being of team members.
• To actively work to create a culture free from hazing and initiations.
• To adhere to the starting and ending dates for your sport.
• To be aware of all MSHSL rules that would pertain to you and your sport.
