Job summary

Duke University is seeking a qualified candidate for Assistant Cross Country and Track and Field Coach in the Duke University Department of Athletics. This position will assist the Head Coach with organizing, planning and coaching of assigned area within the program.

The position will be responsible for assisting with phases of a Division I Track and Field program, within University, ACC and NCAA rules and regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level.
• Commitment to NCAA/ACC rules and institutional policies.
• CPR certification within 3 months.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Coach student-athletes and contribute to program strategy.
• Assist in scouting, prep and practice planning.
• Maintain compliance documents and manage home meets.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the director.
