Job summary

Five Below, Inc. is hiring a Store Asset Protection Associate (Part Time) for our Dorchester, MA location. The role focuses on shrink reduction, safety, and strong customer service while maintaining a visible security presence on the sales floor.

You will work with store leadership to enforce policies, monitor deliveries, and conduct safety checks. The job requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years in retail loss prevention, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 lbs.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of retail loss prevention experience.
• Basic understanding of retail or security.
• Able to work nights and weekends to support retail needs.
• Stand/walk for 8 hours.
• Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Regular time and attendance is essential.
• Ability to work independently and follow Five Below policies.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction and investigations.
• Work with the General Manager to ensure policy adherence.
• Maintain the employee entrance area where applicable.
• Track all packages delivered through the employee entrance.
• Conduct store security checks and recommend loss-prevention measures.
• Move throughout the store with a continuous presence at entrances.
• Provide a courteous visual presence at entrances/exits.
• Perform safety inspections and report hazards to management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.
