Job summary

Eckce is seeking an American Sign Language Interpreter to facilitate communication for deaf or hard-of-hearing students in the classroom. You will serve as a liaison between students and instructors and support instructional activities.

Qualifications

• Interpret spoken language to sign language and sign language to spoken language.
• Knowledge of American Sign Language or other sign systems used by students.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills; ability to work independently.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide sign language interpreter services.
• Interpret classroom instruction, conversations, events, and other spoken word situations using American Sign Language or other sign systems used by students.
