Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare's High Focus Centers in the Greater Philadelphia Area seek a Part-Time Art Therapist to bring creativity into recovery. You will employ art therapy and expressive arts to help adults and adolescents engage in treatment across Center City, Northeast Philadelphia, Lansdale, and Jenkintown.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, develop engaging activities, and maintain a safe therapeutic space.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Art Therapy required.
• ATR or ATR-BC credential required.
• LPC or LCSW credential preferred but not required.
• Trauma-Informed Art Therapy or Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts Therapy certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mental health, substance use, eating disorders, and co-occurring conditions.
• Ability to use expressive arts interventions effectively within a clinical setting.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and clinical documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse client populations and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual and group art therapy sessions.
• Develop engaging therapeutic activities that encourage emotional expression, self-awareness, coping skills, and personal growth.
• Prepare art materials and maintain a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic environment.
• Collaborate with therapists and other clinical team members to integrate art therapy into individualized treatment plans.
• Assess clients' behavioral and emotional needs, monitor progress, and complete clinical documentation within required timeframes.
• Travel between assigned program locations to provide services based on program needs.
• Participate in staff meetings, clinical supervision, and required trainings.
• Partner with Executive Directors and clinical leadership to support program quality, treatment effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
