Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare, Inc. seeks a PRN Creative Arts Therapist to join its inpatient behavioral health team in York, PA. This role focuses on group-based expressive therapies (art, music, dance, etc.) for adults in treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Responsibilities include planning sessions, documenting progress, and collaborating with clinicians to support recovery. Travel to sites is required; schedule is 15–20 hours weekly, with confidentiality and regulatory

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a clinical or behavioral health field required.
• For Music Therapist roles supporting Substance Use Disorder programs, a bachelor's degree in Music Therapy will be considered.
• ATR-BC, MT-BC, or BC-DMT preferred; candidates actively pursuing board certification are encouraged to apply.
• LPC or LCSW preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate expressive arts therapy groups using art, music, dance, or other expressive modalities based on client treatment needs.
• Prepare and organize materials, activities, and session plans for scheduled groups.
• Observe client participation and communicate relevant clinical information to the treatment team.
• Collaborate with therapists and clinical leadership to support treatment planning and service delivery.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment during all sessions, including responding appropriately to crisis situations.
• Participate in required supervision, team meetings, and trainings.
• Travel to program sites as needed.
• Work approximately 15 to 20 hours per week based on program needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all organizational, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Complete all required trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
