A Master's degree is required for most subject areas, with 18 graduate hours in the subject area; teaching experience is preferred. Courses may include day, evening, distance education, or campus locations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in related field is required.
• Minimum of 18 graduate hours in the subject area.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes assigned by the administration which could include day, evening, dual credit, distance education, or any campus location.
• Provide effective instruction with active learning activities and timely feedback on student progress.
• Develop course materials and lectures, updating regularly for relevance and alignment with syllabus.
• Provide a syllabus detailing learning expectations, major assignments, and evaluation methods to the dean’s office by week two.
• Maintain records of grades and attendance and submit by the established date.
• Maintain three office hours per week when teaching at least nine credit hours.
• Follow college attendance policy and drop non-attending students promptly.
• Refer at-risk students to support resources and interventions.
• Participate in program assessment and collaborations to achieve goals.
• Attend faculty meetings as requested by the dean.
