Job summary

First Coast Security Solutions is seeking part-time Armed Protective Security Officers to support the Greenville/New Bern, NC area. PSOs must be willing to travel and to work on weekends and holidays, protecting federally owned and leased facilities and ensuring safety for people and property.

Training rate is $17.75/hour, with probationary rate $26.25/hour plus $5.75 Health & Welfare, and base rate $26.75/hour plus $5.75 Health & Welfare.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess a valid Social Security Card.
Must have reliable transportation.
Fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in English.
Must obtain and maintain DHS/FPS suitability.
Must maintain all required licenses, permits and certifications.
Educational options: High School Diploma, GED, or 60 related college credits.

Responsibilities

Control access to client facilities by verifying admittance and screening visitors.
Provide courteous, professional interactions reflecting positively on the client and security department.
Communicate clearly with visitors, employees, and team members.
Monitor entrances/exits, vehicle inspections, CCTV, and remote access systems.
Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to identify hazards and ensure safe conditions.
Respond to incidents following established procedures (fires, medical, disturbances, etc.).
Protect evidence and secure incident scenes as required.
Complete logs and reports with proper grammar and accuracy.
Report suspicious activities or incidents to client representatives and authorities.
