Job summary

First Coast Security Solutions is seeking part-time Armed Protective Security Officers to support federally owned and leased facilities in the Greenville/ New Bern, NC area. Travel, weekend, and holiday availability are required to maintain safety and incident response across sites.

Officers will perform access control, patrols, and incident reporting while ensuring compliance with client procedures and regulatory requirements, including firearms qualifications and state licensing.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of verifiable experience in armed security, law enforcement, or honorable military service.
• High school diploma or equivalent; GED acceptable; 60 college credits preferred.
• Must meet DHS/FPS suitability requirements and hold required licenses and firearms qualification.

Responsibilities

• Control access to client facilities by verifying admittance and screening visitors.
• Provide courteous, professional interactions reflecting well on the client and security department.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and facility activity including CCTV and remote access systems.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or vehicle to identify hazards and security violations.
• Respond to incidents such as fires, medical emergencies, or disturbances following procedures.
• Complete reports and documentation with accurate grammar and details.
• Report suspicious activities or safety concerns to client representatives and authorities.
