Job summary

Shields Point LLC is seeking part-time armed security guards for the U.S. Department of Transportation contract at the U.S. DOT HQ in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities include observing and reporting activities, managing access control, screenings, patrols, and enforcing regulations to keep employees and visitors safe. Post duties may require long hours outdoors or indoors, with attention to detail and professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident of United States.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Maintain an active Public Trust Tier 2 Security Clearance.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Meet one of: two years in US Armed Services/Armed Security experience or an Associate’s degree or higher or police academy/three years as Armed Security Guard.
• Complete all required training, medical exams, and drug screenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned locations, ensuring security of client property, visitors, and personnel.
• Oversee access control, visitor processing, screening, patrols, enforce regulations, respond to alarms, and maintain secure environment.
