Job summary

University of Maryland in College Park seeks a part-time Lecturer to teach Architecture Program courses. The selected candidate will attend orientation, prepare syllabi aligned with university policies, and provide written progress assessments while following Testudo schedules.

All courses are taught in person on the College Park campus. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in the field and has demonstrated success teaching undergraduates, with experience in architectural design studios

Qualifications

Master's degree required; demonstrates successful teaching at the college level
Evidence of success in teaching undergraduate students
Evidence of expertise that complements undergraduate architecture courses
Ability to contribute to the mission of the Architecture Program and the University of Maryland

Responsibilities

Teach assigned Architecture Program course(s)
Attend lecturer orientation and follow policy
Prepare a syllabus compliant with university policies
Provide written assessment of student progress at mid-semester
Notify Program Director of any student failing the course
Meet as scheduled in Testudo; final exams per schedule; studio courses use final review as exam
All courses taught in person on College Park campus
