The YMCA of Superior California is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator to support the coordination, supervision, and delivery of aquatics programs at Sacramento Central and Capital YMCA. You will oversee swim instructor staff, training, and emergency coverage during a Wednesday-Saturday schedule.

Role ensures safe, professional, and consistent swim lesson programming, collaborates with branch leadership, and helps manage communications and operations across the association.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years’ aquatics teaching experience for children and adults.
• Two years’ supervision experience.
• Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
• Lifeguard certification required within 90 days of hire.
• YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor and CPO certifications required within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Onboards, trains, and supervises swim staff at Sac Central and Capital YMCA.
• Ensures implementation of YMCA swim lessons curriculum.
• Oversee all swim lesson programming and staff schedules.
• Lead and participate in teaching swim lessons.
• Respond to parent and participant inquiries promptly.
• Maintain high-quality risk management and pool safety.
• Perform emergency coverage for swim lessons as needed.
