Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification as an Animal Control Officer, or equivalent.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Investigates complaints regarding barking dogs, vicious animals, or cruelty.
• Responds to calls about loose or injured animals and transports them when needed.
• Maintains town kennel and adoption paperwork; treats animals safely.
• Performs regular barn inspections and enforces state/local animal control laws.
• Interprets by-laws and prosecutes or testifies in hearings as required.
