Job summary

Monadnock Community Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for Same Day Surgery in Peterborough, NH. The Day Surgery nurse provides pre-operative and post-operative care for ambulatory procedures as well as select inpatient cases, guided by perianesthesia standards and safety practices.

The role emphasizes teamwork, compassionate patient care, and a supportive environment, with strong clinical judgment and mentorship opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Nursing.
• Bachelors or better in Nursing.
• ACLS Certification.
• BLS Certification.
• PALS Certification.
• Two years in area of specialty highly preferred, but will train the right candidate.
• Exceptional new graduate nurses are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative and post-operative care for ambulatory and inpatient patients undergoing day surgery procedures.
• Utilizes ambulatory standards to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to support patient care pathways.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families throughout perioperative care.
• Maintains readiness of equipment and supports a just culture of safety.
