Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in ambulatory settings. This part-time role (20 hours per week) supports scheduling across Friday, Thursday, and a monthly Tuesday, delivering care with evidence-based practice and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualified candidates have nursing program completion, an active RN license in Illinois, BLS, and about one year of clinical nursing experience;

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience
Experience with pediatrics and neurodiverse populations (preferred)
Familiar with sedation/GA recovery (preferred)

Responsibilities

Schedule: Every Friday 10am - 5pm; Every Thursday 10am - 5pm; Second Tuesday of each month 1pm - 5pm
Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using nursing process
Ensure safe patient environment and adherence to standards, policies, and procedures
Lead communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality care
