Job summary

AHS LLC’s Monongalia EMS seeks a Paramedic (Part-Time) to deliver Advanced Life Support across prehospital and interfacility transports. The role emphasizes credentialing, patient care, and strict adherence to WV EMS protocols, with heavy emphasis on safe, professional practice and documentation.

The position requires state licensure, NREMT registration, a clean driving record, and ongoing credential maintenance, including NIMS training and continuous education.

Qualifications

• National Registry Paramedic registration, renewed every 2 years.
• WV EMS Paramedic license or obtain within 1 month of hire, renewed every 2 years.
• WV EMS C3IFT endorsement or obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• EVOS certification or obtain within 1 month, renewed every 4 years.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification or obtain within 1 month, renewed every 2 years.
• ACLS certification or obtain within 1 month, renewed every 2 years.
• PHTLS certification or obtain within 1 month, renewed within 2 years.
• EPC/PALS/PEPP or equivalent certifications, obtain within 1 month, renewed within 2 years.
• WV EMS Blood Endorsement or obtain within 1 year, renewed annually.
• NIMS/ICS training (IS 700, 100, 200, 800) within 1 month.
• Unencumbered ability to practice EMS in WV; comply with laws and regulations.
• Clean background check; no DUI/reckless driving in last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide ALS patient care per WV scope and EMS protocols.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and treatment plans.
• Manage airway, medications, cardiac monitoring, and other ALS procedures.
• Obtain medical direction as required and document care accurately.
• Maintain EMS documentation (ePCR) and ensure data integrity.
• Keep ambulances/equipment operational and stocked.
• Respond to 911 responses and interfacility transports.
• Communicate patient condition and care to receiving facilities.
• Participate in QA/QI and credentialing processes.
• Adhere to safety policies and incident management (ICS) as needed.
