Qualifications

Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
Background check and drug screen required where permitted.
Licensing requirements per state/local laws may apply.
18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a public museum location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor incoming calls, radio traffic, alarms, and communications systems; dispatch personnel and relay clear, timely information during routine operations and incident response.
Document incidents, service requests, visitor concerns, and communications accurately in required logs and reports.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
Monitor museum access points and activity through available systems, helping to support security-related operations and protect art, property, and public areas.
