Job summary

ASEC is seeking a part-time Aircraft Radar Engineer to support the design, integration, testing, evaluation, and sustainment of airborne radar systems for naval aviation platforms.

You will perform requirements analysis, interface definition, technical reviews, performance assessment, troubleshooting, and verification activities related to radar and aircraft mission systems. This role is on-site at NAS Patuxent River, MD, with 10% travel and TS/SCI security clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Systems, Aerospace, Computer Engineering or Physics.
• Experience with radar, avionics, mission systems design, development, or sustainment.
• Experience with requirements analysis, design reviews, verification planning, and discrepancy resolution.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and communicate engineering findings.
• Knowledge of RF, signal processing, and avionics architectures.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, integration, test, and sustainment of airborne radar systems.
• Analyze radar requirements and interfaces; allocate requirements to hardware/software.
• Develop and review engineering documentation and verification plans.
• Evaluate radar subsystem designs for adequacy and compliance.
• Support technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, CCMBs).
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues and support capability development.
• Ensure compliance with airworthiness, safety, cybersecurity, and spectrum requirements.
