The Department of Graduate Nursing at The University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for a part-time, temporary, non-tenure track faculty position in the Adult Gerontology Primary Care NP Program. Adjunct instructors pool; openings vary by semester.

Appointments will be part-time with no guarantee of renewal; responsibilities include online, clinical, laboratory, and classroom teaching and coordination with the Department Chair.

Qualifications

• Masters in Nursing or Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing.
• Current AGPCNP/Adult NP/Gero NP license in Texas.
• Current board certification as AGPCNP/Adult NP/Gero NP (AANP or ANCC).
• 2–3 years of experience evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients in an adult/gerontology primary care setting.
• Must remain active in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients to retain employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction within the College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
• Reports directly to the Department Chair.
• Maintains academic standards as established by the university, CONHI and Department of Graduate Nursing.
• Teaches students in online, clinical, laboratory, and classroom settings.
• Assumes responsibility for and/or participates in the planning and organization of courses to which assigned.
• Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of school, program, course and student activities.

Education

Earned Doctorate in Nursing or related field
