Qualifications

Masters in Nursing or Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing.
Current unencumbered AGPCNP / Adult NP / Gero NP license in Texas.
Board certification as AGPCNP / Adult NP / GerO NP from AANP or ANCC.
2–3 years of experience evaluating, diagnosing and managing adults in primary care.
Must remain active in adult gerontology primary care to retain employment.
Preferred: Doctorate in Nursing; minimum 1 year teaching or precepting.

Responsibilities

Provides instruction within the College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
Reports directly to the Department Chair.
Maintains academic standards as established by the university and department.
Teaches students in online, clinical, laboratory and classroom settings.
Assumes responsibility for and/or participates in the planning and organization of courses.
Participates in development, implementation and evaluation of school, program, course and student activities.
