Job summary

Lititz Christian School is seeking an energetic Afterschool Teacher to support the school-age program. The role involves supervising children from kindergarten through 6th grade, coordinating with the director and site-lead, and contributing to weekly lesson plans.

The position is part-time, with hours 1:30–5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and potential to work at Lititz or Manheim location. Candidates should be able to pass background checks and engage well with children and staff.

Qualifications

• Background checks including fingerprint and references required.
• Minimum 2500 hours of childcare experience or equivalent education completed.
• Ability to interact with children and the school age team, give direction and vision when needed.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the director of the school age program and site-lead to assist, oversee and engage with the after school program during the school year.
• Work with the afterschool team of teachers and contribute by giving oversight, ideas and creativity to the program.
• Work with your team to apply the weekly lesson plans summited by the director or site-lead.
• Oversee and engage a group of school age children in kindergarten through 6th grade.
• Assist in creating a strong sense of community among staff and children.
• Attend all required staff trainings and meetings.
