Job summary

Almost Family in Oregon is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with IDD, supporting daily living activities and promoting independence in a safe, caring environment. This part-time afternoon role serves clients aged 3–17, with shifts 3pm–7pm Monday to Friday, often picking up from school.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Able to pass a background check.
• 1+ years experience supporting an I/DD individual or family member.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or obtainable during hiring.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Comfortable working in diverse home environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide help with daily living activities (ADLs) and health support.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and self-esteem.
• Assist with general housekeeping and home management.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene tasks.
