Job summary

Ascension Catholic School in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an Afternoon Early Childhood Learning Center Aide to support preschool students after school hours. The role reports to the Lead Preschool Teacher and the Director of Early Childhood Learning, with a focus on maintaining a nurturing, safe, and organized classroom that reflects Catholic education values.

This part-time position runs 2:00–5:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience with young children, through volunteer work or paid employment.

Responsibilities

• Support students during lessons, small group activities, and playtime to promote development.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment and communicate with the Lead Preschool Teacher, other staff, and families.
• Use active listening and problem-solving skills to support the needs of students.
• Learn technology skills as required by the position.
• Perform other job-related tasks as deemed necessary and/or assigned by the Lead Preschool Teacher or Principal.
