Job summary

Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Kensington, MD, is hiring an Aftercare Supervisor for the 2026-27 school year. The role is part-time, with hours from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, on-site. Compensation is $22.00 per hour.

The supervisor will oversee the after-school program, ensure safety and nurturing environments, and manage staff, attendance, and parent communication in alignment with Catholic values and school policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Education, Child Development, Recreation, or related field.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children required.
• Supervisory or program management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise the daily aftercare program.
• Ensure the safety and supervision of all students at all times.
• Train, schedule, and supervise aftercare staff and substitutes.
• Maintain attendance records and student sign-in/sign-out procedures.
• Communicate with parents regarding student needs and updates.
• Address student behavior with positive discipline aligned with school policies.
• Ensure compliance with licensing and childcare regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized program environment.
• Manage supplies and monitor the aftercare budget as assigned.
• Coordinate emergency procedures and appropriate incident response.
• Collaborate with school administration and staff to support the school's mission.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
