Job summary

ANTs-Sports is seeking part-time Youth Volleyball Coaches to work with 5–10 year olds in San Leandro, San Lorenzo, and Hayward for the Fall 2026 season. Coaches will lead or assist weekly after-school programs, with training provided and a 2-hour class format. Sessions run 2–6 p.m., fall Sept–Dec 2026, 5–15 hours per week.

Must pass background checks and TB test. Pay ranges from $25–$35 per hour, with opportunities to return for the full year and summer programs.

Qualifications

• No prior coaching experience required; we train all coaches.
• Must be available for the entire Fall 2026 season (Sept 2026–Dec 2026).
• Time commitment is 5–15 hours per week.
• Background check and/or FBI fingerprinting, TB test within last 4 years, required.
• Experience as a player or coach (at least two years) is valued but optional.

Responsibilities

• Lead a fun and safe weekly sports practice for kids ages 5–10.
• Teach the FUNdamentals of sports through planned lessons; training provided.
• Arrive on time for each program day and throughout the entire season.
• Attend an orientation training in person.
• Interact positively with parents, teachers, and school staff.
• Set up before and clean up after each class.
• Transport coaching equipment to/from class each week.
