Job summary

City of Farmington Hills is seeking a Youth Program Assistant to support after-school activities and help run daily programs in collaboration with the Recreation Specialist.

You will assist staff with planning, supervision, and documentation, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to policies. The role requires availability weekdays 2:00pm–6:00pm and additional planning time.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or higher.
• College education and/or degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience working with youth preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Archery Instructor Level 1 or higher optional for specific programming.

START DATE & WORK SCHEDULE:

20-30 hours per week on a schedule agreed upon between the applicant and the Recreation Specialist.BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with youth in a formal and/or informal setting preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS & TRAINING:
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Archery Instructor Level 1 or higher optional for specific programming.
