Job summary

Meadowlands Area Ymca seeks an After School Program Counselor for the Moonachie site, 3pm–6:30pm, Monday to Friday, to help deliver the after-school program at Robert L. Craig School in Moonachie, NJ.

You will work with the Program Director, Site Director, teachers and volunteers to implement a daily schedule that supports student achievement, leadership, and social development, while fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Strong candidates will demonstrate commitment to the program's mission and goals.
• Ability to engage, lead and instruct children individually and in groups.
• Commitment to student achievement and youth development.
• Demonstrate desire and ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
• Organization and time management skills.
• Initiative, resourcefulness and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities
