Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Fitchburg/Leominster is seeking a Youth Development Professional for an onsite, part-time after-school program. You will help create a safe, engaging environment where young people can learn, connect, and build confidence.

Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, welcoming youth, guiding transitions between activities, listening, and supporting positive interactions. Mon–Fri 1:30pm–6pm, with a meaningful, everyday impact.

Qualifications

• Reliable availability for a part-time schedule (Mon-Fri 1:30pm–6pm).
• Comfort working with school-age youth in a group setting.
• Clear communication, patience, and sound judgment.
• Ability to follow directions, routines and safety expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support daily youth activities and maintain a welcoming, orderly space.
• Greet youth, help transitions between activities, and keep the room calm and upbeat.
• Listen to youth, encourage participation, and help resolve small conflicts or big feelings.
• Complete quick notes for the team and assist with pick-up procedures.
