Job summary

circleccdc seeks energetic, reliable After School Teachers for elementary enrichment programs in Southwest Austin. This part-time, non-exempt, seasonal role runs August 2026-May 2027, 2:30pm-6:00pm, on-site at Austin ISD schools.

You will supervise activities, mentor students, and create engaging experiences. Ideal candidates may be college students or individuals re-entering the workforce, with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a passion for children.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred: 1+ years of work experience or experience working with children.
• Required: Ability to work 5 days per week, M-F 2:30pm - 6:00pm.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus.
• Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs and be able to stand and be physically active for long periods of time.
• Joy for children and a desire to make a difference in their lives.
• Candidates must meet all TDFPS requirements, have reliable transportation, and be dedicated and very dependable.
• Must pass a state-run criminal background check before starting employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise planned activity centers, free play, and facilitate games emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Lead engaging activities that help students explore talents and build skills (sports, arts and crafts, painting, science, engineering, gym games, sewing, cooking).
• Provide mentorship to students and foster positive relationships with students and parents.
• Serve as a teacher and positive role model, ensuring health and safety and compliance with licensing rules.
